Statement
A colleague introduced me to monotypes. I had always been interested in the simplicity of the Cape Dorset stone cuts, and thought this process could work for a similar effect with my work. I ink my plates with lithography ink and then it is a slow process of wiping the ink away with various tools and materials to get my desired effect.
My colored monotypes are painted on Plexiglas with oil paint and etching ink, hand printed and layered until I get the effect and composition that pleases me.
